New Year Restoration

Just two hours until 2019 here on the East Coast. As always, it seems this year has been never ending but also super fast. It definitely has had its ups and downs but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sure the week between Christmas and New Years was a bit of a blur, but I did get in about 7.5 miles of running and an at home workout. However, I also know I need to step it up. I’ve set a goal to lose 40 pounds before my 40th birthday in October. I also signed up for a 100-mile challenge for the first quarter of the year. That should keep me following my 1/2 marathon program! Hopeful these statistics will be better in 2019.

Christmas itself was pretty low-key since hubby was working nights. We did do presents Christmas morning and I loved seeing the delight on my son’s face. We did a second Christmas a couple days later at my in-laws which was just as much fun. So many baked goods though, lol!

I also decided that 2019 will be my year of restoration. I’m scraping off the layers that have built up from fear, anxiety, and low self-esteem. What emerges is yet to be seen but I know it will be beautiful when finished.
